Everyone Can Enjoy Sports Car Racing

auto racing

Where you find competitive car auto racing, you will find car racing fans. There seems to be an abundance of love for this sport; for the thrill of racing and for the love of the competition, both of which have been around for quite some time. Before we had vehicles that ran on gasoline there were horse drawn carriages. Many a horse and buggy race has been played out in America and fans then were just as avid as the fans of the modern day sports car racing.

The very first race that was held in the U.S. took place on November 28th, in the year 1895. The race was held in the city of Evanston Illinois and was only a little over 54 miles. The whole race took over ten hours to finish. This was just the start of what evolved into the car racing phenomenon of today. Since the time of the first car auto racing competition, fans have continued to flock to the car race track venues to show their support for their favorite driver and share in the thrill of the race.

There are many different types of sports auto racing and all of them have their own fan base. Some of them include Indy car racing, stock car racing, Formula One racing and even rc car racing competitions for radio controlled vehicles. Younger individuals can get their start at sports car racing very early by enjoying go kart racing. Truth be known, many of the most famous racers in the car racing business were go-kart racers when they were children.

Sports car racing has been around for a long period of time and the fans have been around, of course, for just as long. Car racing fans seem to be a whole other breed from other sports fans. They love the excitement of the race and the thrill of not knowing what is going to happen next. While the fans of today are die hard competition lovers, the same could be said of the fans of races from bygone years. Think about the times of the Roman Empire and the excitement of the chariot races; such excitement might be compared to the Nascar or Indy car racing events of today.
